Apple is rumored to increase camera resolution on iPhone 14 Pro to 48 megapixels

The server trendforce.com has brought information regarding the main camera of the upcoming flagship iPhone. The American manufacturer intends to equip the iPhone 14 Pro with a new sensor, where the most visible change should be a significantly higher resolution. The main reason why Apple will proceed to change the resolution after years could be video recording. Apple will apparently follow the lead of many competitors and offer 8K video recording. Despite the fact that in practice, for now, such a high resolution has little use.

There’s also, of course, the familiar pixel stacking at play, where Apple could make use of the lower 12 megapixels in more challenging scenes, such as at night. In contrast, when shooting landscapes, the iPhone 14 Pro could use the higher 48-megapixel resolution. There will definitely be camera changes in the upcoming iPhone 14, as multiple sources agree, including well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
